Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman and Batman took on the mission to help some heroic fighters battling cancer and other childhood illness.
The four costumed crusaders volunteered to visit with children at Spectrum Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital this week.
“I love seeing the smiles in their eyes,” Captain Marvel said after her sojourn to several young patient rooms.
“A visit like this has such positive impact on our patients,” said Jay Kolk of the Child Life department. “One simple appearance from a favorite superhero can turn the whole hospital experience around to a child looking for some light amongst pain and frustration.”
